Vans Shoes
Vans came into being because one of its founders’ dream, Paul Van Doren. Paul decided to move west to southern California along with his other partners. All of them had experience in shoe making but no one knew about the business of retailing. After spending one year in building factory, March 15, 1966 was the first business day when the first Vans store had opened in California. In 1976, skateboarders started wearing Vans shoes and asked to have various colors combined on them. Vans, as usual, responded to its customers’ demands and in 1976, came out for the first time- in red and blue. Over the next years, many colors were introduced into the Vans line of shoes. The Slip On was launched in 1979 in numerous color combinations and soon became the craze of the southern California. Even though, Vans has its company in California for the footwear but in 1994, it extended producing shoes overseas which were not possible to be crafted in United States.
